Perfect Peace Ministry bio of Lee and Ruth Burns

Hello,
We are Lee and Ruth Burns, of Alexander City, Alabama. We are born again Christians, who not only love God, but are also His willing servants. 1st. Corinthians 4:2 states: Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful. Our ministry starts in the home, our Church and then spreads abroad. We are members of West End Baptist Church of Alexander City, where Brother Donald DeLee is our pastor. Perfect Peace is not new to the music scene, we have been singing gospel music for over twenty five years and still loving it. My wife Ruth, formed a gospel group "The Spiritual Harmonettes" while I was singing with a group known as "The Five Gospel Singers." Who later on changed their name to "The Alabama spirituals." Later on, Ruth also joined The Alabama Spirituals with me. But God called us to launch out into the deep and brance out on our own. Ever since our obedience to the call, we have been blessed to minister from state to state and abroad. We are very excited about Jesus and thank Him for many blessings He has bestowed upon us and in ministering to His people. We are convinced that we are doing what God would have us to do. Therefore neither of us take credit for our ministry, we give God ALL the glory and ALL the honor. We are just excited that He has chosen to use us as His vessels. We cannot wait to see what He has in store for us next. Proverbs 3: 5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path." We are certinly taking God as His word.

I grew up in a little town called Daviston, AL located just outside of Horseshoe Bend. I became a Christian at an early age. I grew up and finished high school then went on to Opelika Tech. Collage, took a two year course in uphoslstery. God has really blessed me more than I could ever say. I want to give thanks God for my wife, my three wonderful children, four grand children, our latest (Peyton is her name) is five months old at the time of this site.
Thank God for the ministry we now have (Perfect Peace Ministry) We have witnessed many people come to the Lord through our ministry, we take no credit for that, all glory goes to our Lord. The Lord is still in the saving business, the deliverance business. He touched and delivered me from drugs, alcohol and depression. I have a great testimony as to how God can and will set us free and give us Perfect Peace! When you come to see us, let me tell you what He has done for me! Let me tell you my testimony!
By the way, I guess you know I really do love singing and praising the Lord in music, been doing that a long time and by His favor and grace I pray He allow me many more years to do just that.

Born and raised in Alexander City, AL to the late great Ethel Harkins Hicks. To her was born 13 children, which there wre 4 boys and 9 girls. I thanks God for my family.
In my life God has been good to me, He blessed me with a wonderson son, his name is Latravious, we call him "Duson." I am also the proud grandmother of 3.
My hobby is singing. I love to sing. I can remember when I was a little girl, I would cry to sing in the choir with my mother who herself was a great gospel singer. I always wanted to pattern myself after her, she live a great Christian life.
I am proud to tell you that God saved me, changed my life and filled me with His Holy Spirit. Ever since then I've been running, trying to make 100, ninety nine and a half wont do!
